Welcome to the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences

As an affiliate of the Nebraska Academy of Sciences, the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences (NJAS) seeks to stimulate science education and to encourage young people to become involved in science.  The NJAS State Science Fair, held annually, brings together the Top 5 student projects from each region of the state.

The 2016 NJAS State Competition was held at the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland, NE on April 21, 2016.  Twenty-nine junior high and twenty-five senior high projects competed.  Over 150 students, teachers, parents, and judges participated.
