Welcome to the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences
The Junior Academy was founded to promote scientific interest in the youth
of Nebraska. The Academy sponsors and annual competition for junior and senior
high school students who present the results of their scientific research before
a panel of judges. Winners of this competition receive their awards at the
Academy's annual awards reception. The top 10 senior winners are eligible to attend
the American Junior Academy of Sciences meeting which is held in conjunction with
the American Association of Academies of Sciences meeting held every year in
February.
